Sarah Henney

Hi, I’m Sarah Henney, the founder of Outback Linen Co. My passion lies in blending luxury with sustainability, all while capturing the rugged beauty of the Australian Outback. With a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a passion in sustainable clothing, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting rural artisans and empowering women in isolated communities, something that truly drives me. My mission has always been to create a global brand that is locally sourced and celebrates the world’s finest linen while leaving a positive, sustainable footprint behind.

In 2023, I was honoured to receive an award for my work in fabric design and eco-sustainability, which really validated the efforts I’ve put into making Outback Linen Co. a leader in sustainable fashion in Australia and beyond. Every piece we create reflects my commitment to ethical practices and promoting environmentally friendly clothing choices.

I’m also proud to be a panel judge for Seed VA 2024, where I get to advocate for small businesses and rural entrepreneurs causes that are close to my heart. My mission is to uplift rural families and women-led businesses, helping them thrive in their unique environments. I genuinely believe that sustainable clothing can make a difference.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me enjoying the simple joys of rural living with my family, helping rural women into business development, and staying connected with the incredible community of rural women in the Outbacks of Australia that inspire me every day.
